It’s been some time
Since I left home
A whole new world at my feet
And many of people shook my hand
In support of my new life
Oh how the choice I made was right

And the first few weeks
They seemed alright
I’ll chalk that down to beginner’s luck
A time spent blind of what would come
Like steamboat high at sea
How things came crashing down on me

I found myself
In this new place
My eyes now open I could see
A life of things I could achieve
To hang up on my wall
It had nothing to do with me

I realized
That all of my
Endeavours have been forced by a false aim
There was nothing to leave behind
And nothing to search for
I left just for leaving’s sake

Now I’m here
In my old home
The scent of hot coffee in the air
When I look back to where I’ve been
I’d been searching for so long
Only to find, this is the place where I belong
